At Water Arts, the inclusion of water in a garden has always been a focus and a detail we feel is important. Our goal is to provide you with visually stunning water features that are, at the same time, easily maintained. The word ‘Arts’ is included in our name as it refers to the fact that there is an art to building a water feature and we also have an interest in including art in the garden.
The products we carry are chosen knowing that each garden embellishment is important. We work with architects, landscape architects and designers, contractors and homeowners. We stock pumps, pools, liners, underwater lights, water treatments, water plants, as well as garden planters and garden sculpture.
The History of Water Arts Inc.
In 1980 we began to design and install water features in our projects through the landscape firm J. Garfield Thompson Landscape Ltd. In 1987 Water Arts Inc. was formed as a fountain company. We wanted to make the equipment we were using in our projects accessible to other designers, contractors, and homeowners.
Over the years we have gained knowledge about working with water and continue to learn. We have learned that a properly designed water feature is easy to maintain, does not need to be complicated, and benefits from the inclusion of quality products.

Our core team includes:
Vanessa Shand, Landscape Architect and Fine Artist
Vanessa brings her keen sense of design plus a knowledge of the fountain/water garden industry, which she has been involved in since 1980.
James Thompson, Landscape Architect
James has been designing and building award winning landscapes since 1978. His garden designs usually includes a water element.
Lucy Tobola, Water Arts Inc. Manager
Since 2000, Lucy has been offering her solid knowledge of the products required to create and build a great water feature.
